Our youth don't spend all their time in church!
|
Upcoming
activities:
September 12 :
Youth Fellowship meeting
|
-
Youth
from our joint Vacation Bible School are shown delivering three baskets of
homemade cookies to the Suffolk Fire Dept. As part of our "Love One
Another" lesson, all age groups (PreK-K, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, and youth)
participated in mixing, baking, bagging, tagging, and delivering the cookies
as a token of their appreciation to the members of the Fire Dept for their
service to the community.

-
In June, youth from
MATRIX (Making All
Teens Renewed In X - the Greek letter representing Christ)
- a fellowship made up of youth groups from St. Paul's Episcopal, Suffolk
Christian, Suffolk Presbyterian, and West End Baptist Churches - traveled to
the Eastern Shore to work on Casa Esperanza, a Christian outreach ministry
for migrant workers. After working on the Casa during the day, they
camped out at night. Will and Molly Crow and Madeline and Cindy
Robinson represented West End.

- Youth from MATRIX worked together
in a Rake and Take fundraiser to earn money for their
mission trip to the Eastern Shore. Here some Matrix members - including Madeline and Aaron from
West End - work at the home of West End member, Jack Webb.
