Outreach & Service
Habitat for Humanity
Members of our church participate in the non-denominational Habitat for
Humanity ministry which provides quality, low-cost housing for qualified
families in the Suffolk area. We wield everything from saws and
hammers to pots and pans in support of this ministry.

Neighborhood Block Party
Every fall, the WEBC Sunday School hosts a Neighborhood
Block Party in appreciation of our neighbors on West Washington Street, St
James and Linden Avenues and other nearby streets. This outreach
ministry allows us to get to know our neighbors better and introduces them
to our close-knit family and fellowship.

Nansemond Pointe Sunday School Class
At least twice monthly, members of our church travel to the
Nansemond Pointe Health Care Center to share bible lessons with residents
who are otherwise unable to attend Sunday School. On a monthly basis,
the West End pastor and deacons share communion with this community.
This outreach allows us to minister to the needs of the senior citizen and
disability community no matter what their church affiliation.
