West End Baptist Church has welcomed Dale Peterson as its new interim pastor. The 63-year-old minister held his first official Sunday service in the role on Jan. 13, after serving as a guest pastor for two Sundays in December. The Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk recently began the seventh season of its Night Stay Winter Shelter Program, offering hot meals and a warm place to sleep for those in need these cold winter months. West End Baptist Church in downtown Suffolk is inviting members of the community to bring their favorite, four-legged friends to their “Blessing of the Animals” service this Sunday.
